In the centre of Milton, Ontario, lies a family-run bakery called Bread ‘N Batter Co. The demand has fast grown as a result of our appearance on Food Network’s Project Bakeover; thus, the need to expand our crew. We are searching for a passionate, driven, and self-directed person who will add their passion and experience to our well-loved goods and work environment.

Job Obligations:
- Prepare pastries, cupcakes, and cakes following the company’s specifications.
- Proper preparation of cake and pastry ingredients
- Aid with preparations and dough labour
- Cakes and cupcakes should be decorated following daily needs and requirements.
- Effective teamwork and communication
- Maintain appropriate food safety and health standards at the workplace (such as a clean uniform, appropriate grooming, non-slip footwear, appropriate sanitation, etc.).
- Maintain a hygienic, orderly, and clean workspace and workstations.
- Follow good hygiene and health practices.
Job Types:

Part-Time Hours:
15-20 per week (+/- depending on demand)
Compensation:
$17-$18 per hour
Qualifications:
- Must possess some prior baking experience.
- Must be eager to learn and have a positive attitude
- The Saturday shift and/or opening shifts must be available.
- While producing products and performing work inside the facility, employees are required to adhere to strict food safety procedures, regulations, and COVID-19 guidelines.
- An advantage is having a current food safety and handler’s certificate.
- Experience in culinary management of one year or more is advantageous.
- Experience in customer service is advantageous.

Skills & Assets:
- A student or recent graduate of a program in baking and/or culinary arts with the ability to develop new items based on our brand’s culture
- being able to quickly and artfully adorn cakes and cupcakes
- Food Handling and Safety Certified Customer Service Experience with WHMIS
- A minimum of one year of culinary experience
IMPORTANT:
Re-evaluation will take place by or after probation and there will be a regular assessment. In this role, there is a ton of room for progression.
